The renowned Slovenian chamber trio “Amael Trio”—winner of numerous prestigious international music awards in 2025—was once again honored with the Diamond Award at the Best Classical Musicians Awards on May 4, 2026
Ljubljana, May 10, 2026
We are delighted to share the wonderful news that the Amael Trio (Volodja Balžalorsky, violin – Damir Hamidullin, cello – Zoltan Peter, piano) – www.amaeltrio.com,
received the prestigious global music award “Diamond Award ” – Best Classical Musicians Awards – for the best chamber music performance, “Diamond Winner – Best Chamber Music,” for video recordings from the Amael Trio’s 25th-anniversary concert, which took place in November 2025 in Ljubljana at the Slovenian Philharmonic Hall.
In addition, since December 2024, the Amael Trio has received numerous other prestigious music awards:
Universal Stars Music Competition – Diamond Award, December 2024,
Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition Berlin – First Prize (April 2025),
International Schubert Competition Vienna – First Prize (April 2025),
10th Swiss Competition – First Prize (May 2025),
Claude Debussy Competition Paris 2025 – First Prize (July 2025).
2025 LIT Music Awards — Gold Winner — Best Chamber Music,
as well as at the ECM Awards (European Classical Music Awards) — Platinum Award in the Chamber Music category.
Most of the awards listed for 2025, however, were awarded to Amael for a video recording of a concert at the Spectrum 2024 festival in Ljubljana, where the Amael Trio performed works by Lucijan Marija Škerjanc, Bedřich Smetana, Ludwig van Beethoven, Mikhail Glinka, and Astor Piazzolla,
Amael Trio Highlights 2025: In its anniversary year, the Amael Trio performed to great acclaim in Vienna at the Kammermusikfestival Wien (August 22) and at the ClassicAriano festival in Ariano Irpino (September 7).
Amael Trio Highlights in 2026 include two concerts in May in Spain: Ciudad Real and Albacete on May 18 and 19, and on July 2 in Alghero, Sardinia, as well as a planned fall tour in various European countries.
